SANDE ON GALLANT FOX NEW YORK, N. Y., April 17. Jockey Earl Sande returned here from Havre de Grace. He will resume riding at Jamaica on Monday. Frank Hackett has taken over his engagement book for the season. Sande has been engaged to pilot Gallant Fox in the Wood Memorial. Gallant Fox, in company with Frisius, worked a mile in 1 :45 through the slop at Aqueduct yesterday morning. The trial was a nice one. Earl Sande and W. Kelsay packed their traps and returned to New York last night to be on hand for the opening of the United Hunts meeting. Ulverston was claimed by the Seagram Stable yesterday from Mrs. W. E. Martin for ?4,000. The B. B. Stable is being shipped to New York on Saturday.
