Two stakes are carded for decision here during the week, the ?3,000 added Ashland Oaks, for three-year-old fillies, coming up on Wednesday, and the Ben Ali Handicap, carrying a like amount in added money for three-year-olds and upward having renewal next Saturday. They promise excellent contests and it is not unlikely that the Oaks field will, in the point of quality, excel any in recent years. This fixture for three-year-old fillies will have decision at one and one-sixteenth miles aiid the starters will include Kiato, Manta, Alcibiades, Ellice, Chelys, Kincsen, My Caro-lyne, Supryse, Patricia Ann and others. Manta won impressively over a smart field of her age and sex on the opening day of the meeting, while Niato lost the toughest kind of a race to the older Thistle Fyrn in Saturdays Camden Handicap, and Alcibiades brilliant accomplishments as a two-year-old are well remembered. Patricia Ann made her first and only start on Friday a winning one and others of the better known probable starters are in top racing form. Forty-three of the three-year-olds and older performers are eligible for the jBen Ali and its decision at one and one-sixteenth miles should engage a classy field. Thistle Fyrn, Niato and Patricia Marian, first, second and third in Saturdays Camden, are among the likely starters. ;
