BLACK FLYER, easily best and showing speed from the start, opened up a commanding lead after reaching the turn and, maintaining his speed, won in hand. CAPTAINS DAUGHTER, a factor from the start, disposed of MISS SUDDUTH after reaching tl e turn, saved ground and tired in the drive, but lasted for second place. WINGO, taken back approaching the turn, lost ground and closed gamely. MISS SUDDUTH raced prominently from the start and held on well. MINDORO was on the outside in" the final three-eighths. THISTLE SPRAY had no mishaps. MERIWICK was outrun. HONI SOIT pulled up badly lame. BACK LOG, fractious at the post but away fast, worked his way into a long lead under hustling tactics, gamely withstood THE WAMPUS and won in hand. The latter lost much ground in the first three-sixteenths, responded gamely in the stretch, but could not overtake the winner and was taken in hand near the end. DEEMSTER saved much ground, could not overtake the leaders and outstayed GOOD JEST. The latter raced well. NORIAS showed a gcod performance and finished on the extrem outside. YOUR PLAY, much the best and shuffled back during the opening eighth, was cut off repeatedly on the second turn, but moved fast when clear and, working her way to the lead, won with much in reserve. GOTTA GONOW showed speed from the start, saved ground and could not withstand the winner, but held the others safe. LEAH JANE raced wide, closed resolutely and outfinished SARDA. The latter, well up after the opening three-eighths, held on fairly well. ALICE ON saved ground. GRANITE DUST was done after showing speed for three-quarters. VENDEUSE quit. RARE CHARM, racing in improved form and displaying good speed from the start, slowly wore down PLUMAGE after entering the stretch and held MASTERS ROSE safe. The hitter bettered her position gradually and closed resolutely. PLUMAGE showed gcod speed, saved ground after going to the inside on the turn and tired in the final drive. REVERBERATE, away poorly, saved some ground and was blocked when going fast in the stretch. REGAL LADY began fast and tired in the drive. DELMA DUNN began poorly and closed a big gap. BLACKBERRY, probably best and slow to get- going, went to the cutside after reaching the final half mile, worked his way up fast and was getting, to the winner. MAR- GATE, a factor from the start, offered several challenges while following closest to the winner and held: on well. SWEET GENEVIEVE raced evenly and lost ground throughout. JUEL JEAN closed gamely. THISTLE JEAN, rated along well up for three-quarters, quit in the drive. SAUCY SUE was done after a half mile. ROSE ONEILL quit.
