MIKE HALL STARTS MONDAY LOUISVILLE. Ky., May 9— Mike Hall, R. M. Eastmans great gelding, and winner of the 00,000 Agua Caliente Handicap last March, will make his first appearance since that notable triumph, when he contests the Tyler Hotel Purse, at one mile, the feature race of Churchill Downs Monday program. His company will include Gallant Knight, the Audley Farms star, which gave Gallant Fox such a hard race in the Arlington Classic last July. Gallant Knight worked a mile in 1:39%, handily, and Mike Hall a half in :48%, handily, over a fast track here this morning.
