PEGGY J. showed a liking for the going and. drawing away from BRAINS after entering the stretch, won as her rider pleased. GOLD MINT raced wide throughout, but finished gamely and overtook BRAINS in the last stride. BRAINS was used up keeping pace with the winner in the early stages and was tiring fast at the end. The latter came fast after going half the distance and raced gamely in the stretch. BUD BROOM met interference on the far turn, but ran below his true form. LITTLE GYP could not keep up. The latter showed good speed throuehout and, coming again near the end, was gaining on the winner. CHILLY FLIGHT raced wide while leading the others on the first turn, but took the lead again on the back stretch and held on fairly well. PATHAN made up ground. The others never threatened.
