v f TH0RNCLIFFE TURF NOTES f • and The following notice was posted in the secretarys office: ."Applications of the following licenses have been laid over for further information, lack of signature, or other incompleteness and applicants requested to see the stewards to supply the missing details. Trainers: George T. Crossford, Howard Deimler, Bud Graver, George Hogarth, Jr., John L. McKnight and Harry McDonald. Jockeys: Harold F. Peake, R. T. Barnard and apprentice E. Kinnerley. Jockey Quackenbush is reported to have hurt his leg as a result of a fall while galloping one of his employers horses this morning. His injuries are severe. William Garth brought up a good fencer from Maryland in Will Care. The latter, which races for J. P. McGovern, beat a big band when he won the Pataptsko Steeplechase at Pimlico this spring. The following notice was handed out by the stewards: "The further entry of Fair Folly has been refused as an unmanageable and dangerous animal at the starting barrier."
