A., in close quarters shortly after the start, was taken to the inside on the stretch turn and, closing with a rush, got up in the last fifty yards. SHAKER LADY, close up from the start, raced very wide and closed fast. SUPREME LADY began slowly, raced wide and closed gamely. LADY BATTS showed speed, but swerved badly in the stretch. GREEN LEAF raced into a long lead before going a quarter, then tired badly. DARTER was on the extreme outside throughout. PLAYING, close up under hard riding, tired in the final eighth. ALL HAIL showed speed from the start, was forced back slightly on the turn, but responded strongly when straightened out in the stretch and, disposing of GETTIN EVEN, won in hand. The Utter slowly worked his way clear and swerved entering the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. SILVER LAKE began fast, raced wide and tired in the final quarter. AQUA VITAE, on the inside throughout, tired after half a mile. JOLLY DOLLE lost much ground and gave way in the stretch. Scratched— 55474Don Alvaro, 105; 55158 Adalor T., 110. PRINCE HOTSPUR, going in his best form, was forced wide on the first turn, continued to lose ground, but worked his way up thereafter, raced into the lead and drew away. OUR FANCY showed good speed, raced in the best part of the track and held on well, but was overmatched. CATHOP improved his position on the outside entering the stretch and raced evenly in the final stages. PARIS BOUND closed gamely. TELLICO, under hard urging throughout, tired after getting into second place on the stretch turn. MUTTON quit. DEENTE showed early speed. Scratched— 58766. CHENE, going in her best form and allowed to work her way up gradually in the first three-eighths quickly disposed of the leaders and won easily. THISTLE BILLIE raced wide, moved up fast on the stretch turn and tired after five eighths, but outstayed PLUMAGE and LIGHT MINT. PLUMAGE, on the inside throughout, was much used racing with ANNIE REE and dropped back suddenly after reaching the stretch. LIGHT MINT had no mishaps. BOILING showed early speed. Won driving; second and third the same. KINCSEN, rated close to the early pace, took the lead under urging and, continuing gamely, withstood the challenge of GALAHAD. The latter began slowly, raced wide and closed fast. TOWN LIMIT began fast, raced in the deep inner part of the track throughout and, tiring, just lasted for third place. KENASHAW began slowly and, far back to the stretch, raced wide while closing ground. SKIRL, taken back slightly on the stretch turn, held on fairly well. ENTHRONED showed early speed. The latter began fast, raced restrained for five-eighths and drew away slightly on the stretch turn, but tired thereafter. AURICA raced wide and closed gamely. FLO ONEILL began slowly and raced on the inside almost throughout. BROOM-SHOT had no mishaps. STAR LASSIE, up close for three quarters, quit under pressure.
