TOBOGGAN BELMONT FEATURE Handicap Heads List of Attractions on New York Tracks Opening Day Program โ€” Boojum Named. NEW YORK, N. Y., May 14.โ€” New York racing fans unable to go to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby will not be forced to regret it because some first class sport is in store for them at Belmont Park, not only tomorrow afternoon, when the big course of the Westchester Racing Association inaugurates its spring meeting of twenty-six days, but Saturday as well with the Keene Memorial and the Acorn Purse as headliners. As usual, Belmonts meeting will get under way with the Toboggan Handicap as the feature โ€” and it promises to be a great race. At the top of the weights is the veteran Balko with 130 pounds. One of Balkos opponents is C. V. Whitneys Boojum, the juvenile whirlwind of 1929. Boojum will be making his first start since the Futurity two years ago, and he has worked well for this race. He is second in the weights, under 126 pounds. The Heathen, stablemate of Balko, has been assigned 123 pounds, two more than Glendenin Ryans Chestnut Oak. Then follow W. R. Coes Caruso and Black Majesty, under 120 and 119 pounds, respectively. ยป
