The latter moved up fast after swerving over from the outside, challenged when called upon, but was not good enough. TEACH ME raced forwardly all the way and had no mishaps. WELL HEELED, outrun from the start, could not make up ground wh*n put to pressure. THE BOURBONIAN was placed on the outside of the stalls at the start. SURF BATHER raced evenly. SIR JOHREN forced the pace from the start, lost ground entering the stretch, but withstood a drive gamely and outlasted SUN MISSION in the final strides. The latter, under restraint early, went to the outside of the leaders on the stretch turn and finished fast. MAGNIFICO dwelt at the start, saved much eround entering the stretch and tired under pressure at the end. EDDIE AHEARN showed early speed, then quit. The latter showed good speed, raced WONDERFUL into defeat and held on gamely. STREET SINGER, on the outside throughout, lost ground on the turn. AS FAIR closed ground in the stretch. CAMBAL walked away from the gate, settled slowly into his stride and responded well to urging in the last eighth. BLOND KNIGHT, close up throughout, held on well.
