THIRD WEEK AT H0MEW00D Thomas Curran Memorial Handicap Stake Feature of Next Saturdays Program. Swinging into the third week of racing Washington Park offers as the top-line attraction next Saturday the Thomas Curran Memorial Handicap, which carries an added value of ,000. This five and one-half furlongs event, in its third renewal, drew 160 nominations from the ranks of two-year-old colts and geldings. The probable field will include many of the tried youngsters in western campaigning, among them being Prince Hotspur, the Everglade Stables Dyak, R. W. Collins Anthony Wayne. R. M. Eastmans Cathop and Prepare, E. J. OConn ells Adobe Post, the Three Ds Stock Farm Stables Liberty Limited and Texas Knight, the Dixiana Stables Easter Time, A. Pelleteris Proteus, R. S. Clarks Indian Dance, F. M. Grabners True Play and Gold Tip, W. C. Weants Judge Primrose, H. M. Woolfs Straightaway, N. W. Churchs Gallant Sir, T. E. Muellers Ballyhoo, T. P. Hayes Red Runner. Keeneland Studs Don Romiro and J. W. Marehbanks Chazzan. The pair which the Three Ds Stock Farm Stable is expected to saddle in this stake are highly bred and each cost 0,000. Texas Knight and Liberty Limited are by Sir Gallahad III. Clyde Van Dusen will have Easter Time keyed tight should he decide to send him to the post, but he has other trump cards in Cee Tee and Band Time. A. Pelleteri has in Proteus a youngster of high order, one that he regards as 1932 Derby caliber. Proteus is the winner of the Bashford Manor Stakes at Churchill Downs. He is a son of Infinite — Our Option. Prince Hotspur, which will wear the yellow and, green of Mr. Leiter, Chicago sportsman, has a slashing race to his credit at Washington Park. He finished with Tellico and Marcasite, all being heads apart. Anthony Wayne has shown sparkling class. He is one of the best in the Elmhurst band. Patronage and play during the first two weeks at Washington Park proved gratifying to Judge C. W. Hay, general manager. He believes the meeting is going to establish a new record in point of attendance.
