GOLDEN STORM circled the others leaving the back stretch and, wearing down JUSTA SHEIK near the quarter post and kept under brisk urging, held ULTIM safe. The latter raced forwardly throughout, came wide into the stretch and finished gamely. TUMBLING GLASS, shuffled back at the start, was blocked repeatedly, but closed fast and was going much the fastest of all at the end. JUSTA SHEIK showed good speed, but tired badly in the last eighth. CARUS CLARUS, away slowly, was unable to menace the leaders. WISE SELLER showed speed. PRINCESS STOLA closed a big gap. The latter forced the pace, dropped back on the turn, went to the outside at the head of the stretch, closed fast, but was unable to get up. INTERNATIONAL, close up throughout, tired. ROAN ANTELOPE showed speed, but dropped far out of it. CONTEMPLATE refused to start. FRANK FULLEN, us usual, slow to settle into his best stride, moved up with a rush leaving the back Stretch and, taking the lead with a rush, opened up a long lead in the stretch and was in hand thereafter. GEORGE DE MAR, under restraint, moved up in the last three eighths, but was unable to keep pace with the winner when challenged. FRIAR CLIFF was rushed up fast after passing the half mile post and continued gamely thereafter and wore down BEAU WRACK. The latter drew away into a long lead, but tired after three-quarters.
