Judy and Dent Smith were denied licenses, uses,! and the application of Sam Palumbo for r a a jockey license was tabled at the meeting ting! of the license committee of the Illinois Turf ["urf Association, held today in the stewards rds quarters at Washington Park. The applica-iple lica- tion of A. J. Williams, trainer, was held over iver pending identification of the applicant, and and that of L. DeCarlo, for an authorized agents ;nts paper, held for further consideration, Jockeys William Dalzell, Stanley Lipiec piec and Verlyn Smith were licensed, the latter ttter two not to accept mounts until July 1, when rhen they will reach the required age.
