MONTREAL, Que., June 12.— With every available stall occupied, and an outstanding 1 class of racers on hand from which to select, the spring meeting of the Montreal Jockey i Club at Blue Bonnets will be inaugurated 1 today. Never in the history of this association has there been a better grade of thoroughbreds from which to produce the daily programs, and all that is needed to make the meeting a huge success is good weather. Preparations for this particular meeting have been going forward for many weeks, and with the opening now at hand, every detail for the success of the meeting has been completed. Louis Angevine, clerk of the course, has had a large staff of decorators at his command since the return of summer weather, and every part of the huge plant has been given a careful cleaning. The track has also been treated, and with the renovation the surface of the oval has been brought up to good condition, and horsemen have been loud in their praise the fine cushion that has resulted. For the inaugural a pretentious card has been prepared for the first major racing of the season in this vicinity. There are two features down for decision on the usual seven-race program, with the Kindergarten Stakes holding the feature position on the card. No less than thirteen were nominated overnight, and included in the field are the pick of youngsters performing in the dominion this season. Willis Sharpe Kilmer has named three of his best in Sun Tea-time, Dark Victory and Suntica; J. A. Hales My Purchase; F. A. Temples Stefan, Jr.; Mrs. W. W. Finns Budge, R. G. Narelles Siwanoy and Rey Del Norte; V. A. OCon- 1 nors High Born; E. M. Boorses Rosema-rie B.; Al Smithas Frances Smitha; C. V. Whitneys Even Up and Ira Wilsons Howee, should produce one of the best renewals for this fixture. The number of secondary importance is a the fifth race, the Blue Bonnets Handicap, t For this H. C.
