3 I WASHINGTON PARK NOTES fl ♦ t HOMEWOOD, 111., June 26. In the absence of W. Shelley, who departed for Latonia last night, Arthur Blanch-ard served as presiding judge today, while Francis Dunne served as placing judge. Hyman, the three-year-old which races for the Superior Stable, and which acted badly at the barrier in his last race, has been unsexed and will be turned out. In the event of rain jockey Jimmy Smith will leave for Latonia tonight to ride Joey Bibb in the Latonia Derby. The colt will only be started in case the track is soft. Tannery, pointing for the Arlington Inaugural, opening day feature at ArlingtcA Park, was not entered in the Francis S. Peabody Memorial Handicap. Roscoe Goose will ship the horses in his charge to Latonia tonight. Jockey G. Elston will accompany the consignment. Sidney S. Bender was an arrival from Ohio and will spend a few days on Chicago tracks. Jockey W. Fronk, who was suspended yesterday, will leave for Latonia tomorrow night. Jockey C. Landolt departs .for Latonia tonight. He will have the mount on Spanish Play in the Latonia Derby. Jockey C. E. Allen will ride Lightning Bolt in the same race. Bob Gailor, agent for the J. Leiter stable, will pay a flying visit to Saratoga over the week-end. He is expected back on Monday. Jud Alt will make the engagements of the good apprentice rider F. C. Smith during; the Arlington Park meeting.
