PLAN RACE FOR PHAR LAP AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, Jan. 20. A four-horse race which, if it materializes, will create almost as much interest as the Agua Caliente Handicap, is in the making at this lower California course. An effort is being made to bring Phar Lap, Dr. Free-land, Plucky Play and Marine together in a race to be known as The International Handicap, which will be run February 21. Phar Lap will represent Australia, Marine will represent Canada, Dr. Freeland will be the representative of eastern United States and Plucky Play will race for California. The race, which is expected to be over one mile, will be fashioned so that none of the animals will carry excessive weight, and they will incur no penalties for winning.
