KNAPP SHIPPING BIG STRING NEW YORK, N. T., Jan. 20. H. I. Pels, superintendent of the Belmont Park course, received word from William Knapp, trainer of the stable of Mrs. John Hertz, that thirty-eight horses will be shipped to the Nassau county plant from the Hertz farm in Cary, 111. The shipment will include seven horses belonging to Warren M. Wright of Chicago, a newcomer to thoroughbred racing. Twenty-seven juveniles and eleven older racers will comprise the shipment. As the Hertz barn will accommodate only twenty-six head, the overflow will be stabled In the public barn opposite the Hertz place. The shipping date has not been announced, but will be within the next four weeks. Last year the Hertz string arrived at Belmont Park February 25.
