if JEFFERSON PARK NOTES Tom Flippen was out and around today much improved after a short illness. Ronald Dostie of Amsterdam, N. Y., had his first mount, when he rode Kelso in the second race here Monday. Dostie is under contract to B. A. Jones, Missouri turfman. Apprentice B. Myres entrained last night for Havana. He reports to H. G. Knott at Oriental Park. Thirteen horses got away last night for Oriental Park. C. A. Bidencope had three of his own and also three, the property of John Marsch; J. Sirl, one; H. G. Knott, two; Superior Stable, two, and G. R. Yeargin, two. After a short illness, C. M. Colvin, apprentice with the F. P. Letellier stable, resumed riding. The stable of John Marsch was transferred to the Fair Grounds today. Trainer Phil Reuter-sent fifteen of the Chicago patrons racers to the Louisiana Jockey Club course. J. L. Paul vanned a division of his stable to the same track and G. R. Allen moved over with four. Paul will transfer three others following the close of the Jefferson Park meeting. Trainer J. B. Theall was much improved today and he hopes to resume charge of the Lone Star Stable tomorrow. Stalls for this big establishment have been set aside at the Fair Grounds and Theall plans to move all of the horses to that track about Friday. Tommy McGinity, general manager of the Bainbridge Park track and extensively interested in sports and other business enterprises at Cleveland, arrived this morning. John H Madigan, head of the Niagara Jockey Club, left for Florida where he will spend a few weeks returning here for a few days for the Fair Grounds season to conclude his winter holiday. Jockey L. Bazer had his first mount of the meeting when he rode Flag Lieutenant in the third race Tuesday. William Dangman has been commissioned by F. B. Koontz, Tulsa patron, and owner of the sire Witchmount, to purchase mares eired by Chicle, Ballot, Peter Pan, Dis Done and Broomstick. Eleven horses, the property of Mrs. L. M. Holmes, were vanned to the Fair Grounds this morning. A division of the Jones Stock Farm also moved over today. The two-year-old son of Rire aux Larmes and Omnipotent, which J. L. Pontius has at the Fair Grounds, has been named Michigan Lad. He is a full-brother to Michigan Girl and a half-brother to Michigan Boy, winner of the Louisiana Derby in 1930. Roll call for employees of the certificate department at the Fair Grounds will be at 10 a. m., Sunday, according to announcement of Ernest White, supervisor of that department. Major Louis A. Beard returned from Texas where he spent a few days with his parents, and was joined here by H. P. Headley, prominent Kentucky owner and breeder, who arrived this morning from Lexington: Both plan to take in the closing days of the Jefferson Park meeting. The Superior Stables Blond Love and 5ambolt shipped to Havanai will be raced at Oriental Park under the direction of J. , P. Headley. Phil Reuter may leave Sunday for Kentucky, where he will arrange for the taking up and early training of John Marschs Chief John, Camp Boss, Camp Prince and . eight others which have been at Thomas Piatts Brookdale farm since last fall.
