NORRIS, JR., DERBY HOPES NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 26 Two likely Louisiana Derby candidates and six other horses, owned by James D. Norris, Jr., of Chicago, and in charge of trainer Edward Hayward, arrived at the Fair Grounds from Hialeah Park this morning. The Derby colts, Song Hit and On Sir, and their companions unloaded in good condition, and Hayward plans to put all through a brisk campaign during the closing three weeks of the season. Older horses in the stable are Knight Com- V mander, Calf Roper and Tombereau, sue- cessfully campaigned at the Miami tracks and the juvenile division is made up of Old Judge, Sir Anthony and Transpose. On Sir is a son of Waygood and Lovers Lane II., and Song Hit, also a colt by Dress Parade Golden Melody. Both are in top racing condition and after a few days rest will be pointed for Derby preliminary tests. Trainer Hayward was accompanied by Frank Chiavetta, the stable rider and Joe Peters.
