GOV. SIGNS TAX CUT BILL LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 26. Governor Ruby Laffoon attached his signature to the bill passed last Thursday by the senate to relieve the Kentucky Association and Dade Park tracks from the burdensome tax of ,500 a day to 00 for each day that racing is conducted at these race courses. Senator Arch Hamilton sponsored the bill in the senate, which passed by the vote of 28 to 5. Senator Gates Young of Davie? county, supported the fight for the passage of this measure. It passed the House February 17. This does not effect Churchill Downs or Latonia, but will aid Raceland track if racing is resumed there. Lexington will ask for a license from the Kentucky State Racing Commission, and for dates to race before the Downs meeting, which begins April 30.
