CHARITY TICKETS SELLING FAST NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 26. Disposal of tickets for the Welfare Day races at the Fair Grounds Sunday was reported as moving along at a satisfactory pace by members of the New Orleans Welfare Committee, sponsoring the charity program. Sales were reported from all sections of the city, members of the police department thoroughly soliciting business houses, homes, pedestrians and motorists and the various downtown agencies were visited by many purchasers. At the Fair Grounds a large number of general admission tickets and box reservations were sold today and Saturdays crowd is expected to take up scores of tickets and the few unsold boxes. The racing program for the day will comprise eight races, with a purse of ,000 attached to the feature. Post time for the opening event will be 2 oclock.
