HELIOS outbroke the others, displayed the most speed under hustling tactics and, saving ground entering the stretch, just lasted. IPRAL, close to the winner throughout, responded gamely under punishment and would have won in another stride. DRY RIDGE, away forwardly but forced to race wide on the turn and again in the stretch, finished fastest of all in the closing strides, and seemed the best. MINTOGEE was hard urged all the way. TRYSTICK appeared sore going to the post and broke slowly. PRINCETON, close up all the way, challenged gamely entering the stretch, then tired suddenly in the final sixteenth. SPUNKY, racing evenly for half a mile, finished resolutely. HIGHEST POINT, under vigorous pressure, gradually improved his position on the outside and, closing gamely in the stretch, wore down NOAJOYCE in the final stride. NOAJOYCE, fractious at the barrier, began alertly from the outside, raced MORTIME into defeat, drew away in the stretch, then tired. TUSKEGEE, prominent throughout, held on gamely under punishment and outlasted WINNING CARD. The latter closed a big gap. MORTIME quit. BARN DANCE suffered interference. FERVID worked her way up after leaving the back stretch and finished gamely under strong pressure. SILVER LAKE, away slowly and far back for half a mile, came through on the inside entering the stretch and closed fast. CLAREMONT had no mishaps and finished resolutely. ELLICE tired in the final eighth. KENSINGTON showed early speed. POLYGAMOUS was slow to leave the post and was outrun all the way, but ran away a mile after the finish.
