NEW ORLEANS TURF NOTES I : $ Octave Viau is returning to Kentucky for the spring meeting at Lexington and Louisville. He will ship direct to the Lexington track from here and plans to get away without much loss of time following the close of the Fair Grounds. L. A. Conner is shipping the horses of Mrs. Olive Curtis from here to Maryland and, following a months campaign in that state, they move on to New York. Roy Slomer has taken over Flag Lieutenant to train for H. Martin,, and E. McCown is training Bull Frog for. Mrs. J. B. Churchill. The B. Bagley horses have been turned over to J. G. Brown to train. J. H. Houghland has retaken the nom de course of the Tennessee Breeders Association, and the Houghland horses here in charge of R. J. Gilmore have been so registered. Jimmie Burke has been engaged to ride C. S. Ormsbys Nituma in the Liam T. Mac-Cosgair Sweepstakes, the stake feature for juveniles, to be run on St. Patricks Day.
