I FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES v ; J. R. Carlock, of Mount Vernon, Ind., has reserved stalls for nine horses at Bainbridge Park. He wintered his string at Mount Vernon. Thomas Nash, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. P. A. Nash; sister and Miss Ann OMal-ley entrained today for Chicago. They spent the past two months here. Garrett Watts, owner of the Elktonia Stud, plans to dispose of the horses he has in training. They include King Commander, Bramble Lad, King Luke, Forget Not, Transmit, Honest Lad and Silver Pay. Requests for stalls at Bainbridge from E. McCuan, A. J. Pershall and R. Sundheimer were received by Julius Reeder today. They were forwarded from Tropical Park. L. Connor, acting for Mrs. O. Curtis, sold the filly Gloria Sharpe to W. D. Bernhardt and she will be turned out until fall at the Bernhardt farm near here. J. B. Theall sent the Lone Star Stables Jack Haskell to the same farm, where he will run out indefinitely. Jockey Tommy May left for his home at Detroit, where he will spend a few weeks before reporting back to Frank Seremba. C. Holland, local turfman, is shipping the Colgate Stable, comprising eight head, to Bowie Sunday;. Jockey W. Day, who was forced to his bed by illness, induced by excessive reducing resumed riding today. The death of Dr. R. Lee Byrd, Sr., who for many years was track physician at the Latonia course, was reported in a message received here today. He died at his homand in Latonia, Ky. Gilbert Elston, leading rider here this winter, has been engaged to ride A. B. Letetf liers Sazerac in the Louisiana Derby Saturday. The good lightweight rider R. Tilden Is an addition to the many jockeys going from here to Maryland and will ride at Bowie where Whitey Dauenhauer will make his engagements. Tilden had considered an offer to ride for one of the larger stables at Tanforan. Injuries suffered by Angkor this morning were responsible for his absence from the Liam T. MacCosgair Sweepstakes. Trainer Eddie Hayward Is shipping the" winter division of the Peconic Stable from here to Louisville, where he will take up eight others that wintered in Kentucky. .
