NICK D., given a hustling ride, showed speed, saved ground and was much used before half, a mile, but held on well. DOUGHBOY forced the early pace under strong restraint and tired after drawing clear in the stretch. BIG BLUE had no mishaps. PRINCE TRAFALGAR stumbled at the start and closed with a rush in a good performance. IVAN W. raced evenly. SIR KENDAL raced green. BOARD WALKER saved ground early, showed speed, but tired in the final eighth. MISS SNAPPY quit in the drive. BEGGAR LADY closed resolutely. EFJAYBE was outrun. KELSO showed speed from the start, was under light restraint for five-eighths and failed to got to the winner when put to a drive, yet held on fairly well. POLLYS FOLLY, a factor throughout, withstood pressure gamely. KIMBALTON, restrained for three-quarters, failed to get up. ELIZABETH BOLLA saved much ground, but was weakly ridden and failed to rally when called upon. DELCO DEL was outrun. DICK CHEVELY quit. FERVOR, favored by the fast early pace and always close up, saved ground on the turn, rallied resolutely when hard urged in the stretch and, wearing down the leaders, won drawing out. BLACK TYRONE lost ground going into the turn, forced a fast early pace under hard riding and, overtaking KING CHEROKEE tired. The latter moved up fast, was on the inside throughout and tired after showing speed for five-eighths TONY JOE began sluggishly, was far back until reaching the last three-eighths, where he closed a gap rapidly-BLIMP had no mishaps.
