3 MAJORITY SHIPPING TO BOWIE Bradley, Curtis, Poison and Holman Strings Depart From New Orleans Saturday. NEW YORK, N. Y.f March 26. Saturday night will mark the second largest shipment of thoroughbreds to different northern points since the close of the winter season last Saturday. The bulk of the stables scheduled to leave are heading for Bowie, which opens the Maryland season on April 1. William Hurley, western trainer for the E. R. Bradley stable, ha3 completed arrangements for a Maryland invasion. Other stables going to the same course are those of Mrs. O. Curtis, B. Durnan, J. Poland and W. F. Poison. S. N. Holman, who looks after the J. C. Haggerty horses, is also making arrangements to join the shipment. Another shipment scheduled to go northward is that of R. C. Thatcher, whose horses were left here in the care of F. Sewell, F. S. Page and B. S. Michell. Trainer Connor, of the Mrs. O. Curti3 stable, has weeded out several of the poorer grade horses he campaigned here. Bob Ker-nan, St. Mica and Ef jaybe were disposed of at private sale to J. Porretto, while Titus went to Sam Mulay. Austerlitz and Strathcona, the property of R. Slomer, were sold at public auction on Thursday to satisfy claims. The former was bid in by McDaniel and W. P. Sparks, while G. Newgass got Strathcona. Sam Holman added Dextro to the J. C. Haggerty stable via private sale from W. W. Finn and reports that he is negotiating for two other horses. G. R. Allen, with his own, horses and those of Mrs. D. Levy, are booked for shipment to Churchill Downs Saturday night. Sunnyside Up has been sold to Mrs. J. Manale. The juvenile formerly raced for W. C. Goodloe.
