RAINSTORM HITS LEXINGTON Trainers Desert Regular Course for Sand Track Rothermel Foals Colt by Epinard. J LEXINGTON, Ky., March 26. Rain last night and this morning sent all hands at the Kentucky Association grounds off the mile track and back to the sand track for gallops. Nothing out- of the ordinary was reported in the workouts. Charles Damon got away this morning for Havre de Grace with Jacob Langs Elm Tree Stable of ten head, including Footmark, Elcidio, Hose Twig, Sand Lark, Malley Marcus, Urbanity H., Lucky Polly, March King, Jubilee Belle and Ladykin. The good mare Rothermel, by Light Brigade, now owned by the Wheatley Stable, foaled a chestnut colt by Epinard, at Claiborne Stud. Another popular race mare, Alcibiades, by Supremus, has a chestnut colt by Mad Hatter, at Beaumont Farm and has been mandted with St. Germans. Two more of Belair Studs mares at Claiborne Stud have foaled to great race horses, Gallant Fox, Exterminate, by Ultimus, having a chestnut filly, and Flambino, by Wrack, a chestnut colt. At Le Mar Stock Farm, Hazel Spears has a bay colt by Misstep. George Collins, master of Thistleton Farms, has booked Lucinda to Misstep. Sancroft has influenza at Keeneland Farm, having contracted it on the way home from Tropical Park. T. M. Cassidys Sax Lady has arrived from Columbia, S. C, to be mated with Crack Brigade, at Old Hickory Farm. This makes nine mares Mr. Cassidy has sent here to be brecl to this stallion. Following a short visit, during which he inspected his horses at Greenwich Stud, W. B. Miller left for New York, from where he will proceed to his home at Greenwich, Conn.
