BOWIES FEATURE RACES Outstanding Attraction for Every Day of Coming Meeting. 1 Inaugural Handicap Headliner on Opening Day, April 1 Rowe Memorial Handicap April 9. 4 BOWIE, Md., March 26. Thirty feature races, including a trio of ,000 events, are included in the book issued by secretary Joseph McLennan for the Southern Maryland Agricultural Associations eleven-day spring meeting, beginning April 1. McLennan has arranged for forty sprint and thirty-seven races over a distance of ground. This sort of program, providing the weather is good, should enable the host organization to offer bang-up racing at all times. There are more than 1,200 horses already in this sector, with every train from the north, east, south and west unloading additional thoroughbreds, so that the forthcoming meeting wont lack capable performers. An even dozen two-year-old races, all to be decided over the half-mile distance, have been carded.
