MURPHY OFFERED AGUA POST SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., May 7— Joseph A. Murphy, Tanforan and Hawthorne official, is rumored to have been offered the post of presiding steward at Agua Caliente. Judge Murphy was noncommittal about the matter when questioned, but stated that he had been made a similar offer once before.
