TIVERTON sprinted to the front soon after the start and, opening up a good lead, was never in danger, winning easily. EPONA raced close up from the start, but was tiring at the end. LUKE CONNELL was permitted to fall far back in the first quarter, went wide on the stretch turn, but clesed with a rush. LUCY MENIFEE showed early speed. RIGAUD also showed early speed. ESSENTIAL followed close to the leaders to the stretch, then saved much ground, took command and opened up a good lead, but his rider went to the whip near the end to keep him going. DISTRESS SIGNAL, under restraint on the outside for a quarter, moved up fast and, going to the rail in the stretch, finished gamely. ALAMAE and OLD KICKAPOO were used up making the pace and tired in the stretch. CORAL BEACH was outrun all the way. The others were never dangerous. HOMEWOOD was used up early and had little left at the finish. SOUTHLAND BOY closed a gap. BLUE PENCIL began slowly. TRIEZE showed a poor performance.
