LATEST PREAKNESS ODDS Tom Kearney of St. Louis, held Tick On at 2 to 1 Saturday for the Preakness Stakes, to be run May 14 at Pimlico. Burgoo King was second choice, at 4 to 1, and his stable-mate, Brother Joe, third choice at 6 to 1. These quotations were made before the running of the Kentucky Derby. Kearney offered 8 to 1 against Liberty Limited, Lucky Tom, Gallant Sir and Mad Pursuit, and 20 to 1 against Prince Hotspur, Mad Frump, Brandon Mint, Ladfield, Sweeping Light and Cold Check. Others in the Preakness field are quoted at from 30 to 1, to 100 to 1.
