«, LEXIWGT0N TURF NOTES J 4 1 Major Louis A. Beard, manager of the Whitney family of thoroughbreds, left today ■ for Baltimore to see the Preakness 1 Stakes running tomorrow. J. O. Keene is arranging with E. J. Tran-tor of the Fasig-Tipton Company to sell his racing stable of twenty horses at Washington Park, June 17, the day before the running of the American Derby. Phil T. Chinn, before leaving for Detroit today, said he will have a consignment of yearlings for the Saratoga Sales this year and that he is in the market for a few horses to add to his present Siring. Charles E. Patterson has opened a public training stable at the Kentucky Association course. He has eight horses and room for twenty.
