MY CARE, swerving to the outside at the start, was straightened away quickly, raced close up early, took the lead at the eighth fence and, jumping boldly in the final mile, drew out at will and won with much to spare. MOONSTRUCK, saved for the first turn of the field, saved ground, but was unable to threaten the winner. AUTUMN BELLS, prominent and racing in his best form, tired in the closing five-eighths. GLANEUR was hard ridden all the wav. BO BALLOT tired. PROOF POSITIVE had no excuses. BLUE BANNER was far back all the way. KAHLER raced well. ERIC THE RED tired early. MUSKOGEE lost his rider at the fifth obstacle. MAJOR GENERAL forced a good earlv pace, displaced HAPPEN, but was not good enough for the winner. HAPPEN tired. BLUE DAMSEL was in a jam at the start along with STEPPING SISTER.
