LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS The consistent work of jockey J. Gilbert keeps him in the limelight from week to week. The change from winter tracks to metropolitan courses has not seemed to affect him, and his six winners last week added to his previous figure gives him a record of having ridden 114 winners since the first of the year. Gilbert, Elston and H. Mills also are doing well, and the three leaders are far in advance of the others. Their percentage also is high for apprentices, Gilbert and Elston having .23, and Mills .24. Last weeks honors go to C. King the youngster who has astonished race fans at Aurora by his brilliant riding. King rode eleven winners during the last six days of racing. R. Workman was close behind with ten. The records of the thirty leading riders from January 1 up to and including the racing of last Saturday are as follows: Last Jockey. Mts. 1st. 2d. 3d. Unp.P.C Wk.
