ARLINGTON PARK NOTES $ Also arriving from New York Tuesday were fourteen horses, the property of Kath-erine Elkins Hitt and a dozen owned by W. W. Vaughan. Sun Meadow, a candidate for the Arlington Inaugural Handicap, Stars and Stripes, Gold Cup and Arlington Handicap, was the principal member of the Hitt shipment and others included Sunvir, Anu-bis, All Rowes and Stealingaway. Canron, which won the Lady Baltimore Stakes at Pimlico and is a supplementary nominee for the Arlington Oaks, came with the "Vaughan stable as did Snobful, a possible starter in the Inaugural Handicap. Word was received from Thomas J. Healey that twenty-one horses owned by Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney would leave New York Friday and arrive at Arlington Saturday morning. Eight will be in the division handled by Fred Hopkins and thirteen will be under Healeys direction. Equipoise, unbeaten this year and leading contender for honors in the older division, is the star of the Hopkins stable and Top Flight is the chief member of Healeys string. Equipoise is in the Stars and Stripes, Gold Cup and Arlington Handicap, an Top Flight is due to start in the Arlington Oaks and then in the 5,000 Classic. Shipments leaving New York Thursday for Arlington Park include those of Edward R. Bradley and the Warm Stable. Trainer T. J. Thompson will have fourteen horses for the Kentucky sportsman and T. P. Hayes will have eight for the latter stable, of which The Nut is the most prominent.
