LATONIA TURF NOTES Lon Jones arriced at Latonia Monday morning with the three-year-olds Barash-kova and the two-year-olds Fair Rochester, Fair Delight, Fair Haven and Lady Capalet. R. P. Brooks vanned the two-year-olds St. Jensund and Leatherneck from Churchill Downs. Brooks expects Agincourt and Surly from B. O. Hickmans farm Wednesday. St. Jensund is an eligible for the Cincinnati .Trophy. Jockey Earl Pool was an arrival from Chicago and will do most of the riding for the W. E. Smith stable. Jockeys W. Kern and H. Fisher were other arrivals. Fisher came from Washington Park and Kern from Bainbridge. Joe Chinn was an arrival from Washington Park with the Latonia Derby candidate I Pass and Noelwood, Red Boot, Bonnie Marie and Wilks. Chinn stated that I Pass, has recovered from his slight injury and that he plans on starting him in the Latonia Derby. Jockey Gilbert Elston, who was severely injured at Washington Park, was an arrival with Bobby Bowers, his agent. Elston hopes to resume riding the latter part of the meeting. Tom Carr Piatt was a visitor at his stable, which is in charge of J. P. Sallee and stated that Another Gift, a half-sister to Footmark, would be sent to Sallee from the Piatt Farm this week. Upset Ann will be sent here at the same time. T. L. Pierce arrived Sunday from Bainbridge with nine horses, the property of the Shandon Farm of R. J. and P. A. Nash, and one of his own. For the Shandon Farm he brought Zean, Dandy Dan, Downpour, Sun-low, Aurebon, Dreamy Belle, Allegretto and Crooner and Captain T. for himself. Pierce expects Full Up, which will be sent from the farm in the next several days. James Hukill unloaded My Prince, Abe Furst, Joretta, Asphodel, Petty, Money Wild, Heavy Sugar, Sporting Lady, Minnie Gage and Ann What, which he campaigned at the Ohio track. Sandwrack, Black Comet, Bill Looney, Jane Packard and a two-year-old, which are the property of Edward Haughton arrived from Washington Park. In the same car Johnny Gormley brought E. F. Prichards Tannery, which is a candidate for the Independence Handicap. Prince Farthing, Birthday Gift, Bubbling Beauty and Ramsdell, which K. Ramsey had at Bainbridge, arrived Sunday morning. The others that Ramsey has will come from the Ohio track the last of the week. Joe Tigue, who came in charge of the Haughton horses, stated that seven or eight horses which Haughton had at his farm near Lexington would be sent to Latonia this week. Stone and Bates arrived" from Lexington with Starry Eve, Lovely Woman and two others.-
