PRIMUTE went to the front early and, saving ground after being overtaken by SALLIE BOURLAND, took command again when the latter went wide on the stretch turn and drew into a long lead. SALLIE BOURLAND dashed to the front soon after the start and was racing gamely when she bore out on the stretch turn, carrving HAPPY HOPE out with her. PLUM ORCHARD made up ground steadily and finished well. MOMS POLLY also closed a gap. HER ELEGANCE was tiring. HAPPY LOPE showed early speed, but tired after being forced wide. CODETTA was cut off soon after the start. The latter finished fast on the outside. MARLENE was in close quarters near the end. BRIGHT BIRD showed early speed, but tired. TAKE OFF acted badly at the barrier and showed early speed after starting from outside the gate, but tired in the final eighth. BOB CUSTER and pETTERFLY raced fairly well.
