CATER TO THOROUGHBREDS MONTREAL, Que., June 21. Jock Year-gin, who officiates at several of the smaller tracks in Canada and the United States, received word from Herbert D. Smyser, the moving spirit in the associations that conduct the fair at York, Pa., that a change of policy had been decided on for the coming meeting this fall. In the future, thoroughbreds will be catered- to as an attraction. The dates have been set for October 3 to 8, inclusive. Three races for runners will be given daily the first four days of the fair, and on the closing day seven races on the flat and a steeplechase will be programmed. Purses for these events will range in value from 00 to 00.
