MONNIE showed speed, went to the inside on the far turn and outlasted GRECIAN BEAUTY. Th latter closed fast. MARABOU could not get up. DOWNPOUR began slowly, fell lame arid-was outrun. Won easily; second and third driving. ROYAL JULIAN, at home in the going, followed the early pace under restraint, easily wore down BILLY . CHAMP when called upon and won in hand. BILLY CHAMP, under strong hand riding from the start, showed speed, saved ground and, while ho match for the winner, was much the best of the others. SIS ESTHER, sore, dropped far out of it, then moved up on the stretch turn and outlasted JACK HORGAN. The latter had no mishaps. JUDGE LUEDERS was done early.
