The latter, probably best, was shuffled back early and forced to take up, but went to the outside when blocked at mid-stretch and finished fast and would have won in a few more strides. FLAG TIME was used up racing with CAMP BOSS. DORIS JEAN tired in the stretch. JAZ AGE could not keep up with the early leaders. STEP LIZ raced fairly well. JACKSTAFF, close up throughout, met interference when the winner swerved in and out in the stretch. CRIMEAN LAD was in trouble early. ST. NAZAIRE also met interference. PRETTI SING, LAPIDARY and AFRIDI were crowded back on the first turn. SAD KNIGHT and FAIR BOY went lame and were pulled up.
