YEARLING PRICES ARE SMALL Forty-Three Head Go Under Hammer for $ 2 5, 6 5 0b Average 97. Top Price of ,300 Paid for High Time Lady Ambassador Colt Summary of Wednesday Noon Sale. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. T., Aug. 17. Forty-three thoz-oughbred yearlings went under the hammer at the Fasig-Tipton auction Tuesday night for a total of 5,650, the A average being 597. Of these the largest consignment was marketed by C. G. and T. G. Herring. One was sold by the National Thoroughbred Foundation, and William B. Miller marketed a dozen from his Greenwich Stud. Captain P. M. Walker paid the top price when he gave ,300 for a chestnut colt by High Time and Lady Ambassador, the star of the lot from the Herring consignment. Captain Walker also paid the second highest price when he went to ,000 for a bay son of Light Brigade and Rock Haven, by Trap Rock. The National Thoroughbred Foundation colt, which is a handsome son of Prince of Wales and The Baggage, was knocked down to Dr. T. M. Cassidy for 50. J. H. Louch-heim paid the highest price for one of the Miller yearlings when he obtained a chestnut son of Infinite and Rhea, by Uncle, for ,400. Following are the details of the sale: PROPERTY OF C.
