STAMFORD PARK OPENS NIAGARA FALLS, N. Y., Aug. 17. After the clevis that obscured the sun during the morning had cleared away, the weather was delightful for the sport and a big crowd was on hand for the opening of the second summer meeting of the Bellevill Driving and Athletic Association at Stamford Park. The program was entirely given over to the platers with the fifth event styled the Niagara Peninsula Purse appeared the nearest approach to a feature. The public confidence was well rewarded when the odd-or. choice, Mintmagi, from the locally-owned Power City Stable provided an easy winner, scoring by four lengths over C. E. Furrys Single Sea. L. C. Hochen-burys Irish Fusileer was third.
