CIRCULET showed good speed, but was kept in the deeper footing. VARSITY raced evenly. The others were never factors. MISS GORMLEY outran the others to the first turn, but was unable to withstand the winner in the stretch. GAY PARISIAN closed resolutely. PAR EXCELLENCE, much used forcing the pace, tired.
