j CHICAGO TURF NOTES $ $ C. Bruce Head, general manager of Lincoln Fields, left Sunday for his home at Crestwood Farm in Kentucky. From there he goes to Latonia, where he serves in the stewards stand. J. Flynn, apprentice, is leaving for Maryland, where he will ride the remainder of the season. Trainer Frank Swain is sending five of F. M. Grabners horses to winter quarters in Kentucky Monday. J. J. OByrne is considering" an offer for the two-year-olds Chrysostom and Sweeper-man. If the deal does not go through he may ship to Maryland instead of Latonia, as previously planned. Charles Grayson and R. W. Collins are among the owners shipping to Latonia. Grayson is having the two-year-old Chipola vanned from Crestwood Farm, near Louisville, to Latonia, where he will be put in training. Chipola was fired and turned out last spring. James Butler resigned as trainer of the Rainbow Stock Farm Stable and planned to entrain forMaryland. C. E. Davison changed plans for the racing of his stable this fall and instead of shipping to Latonia will turn out about ten head and race a half dozen others at Sportsmans Park. Later he may go to one of the winter tracks with about twelve head. Jockey V. Moran leaves tonight for Latonia, where he will ride for the Greentree Stable. Bobby Bolton will make Morans engagements there. Jockey A. Richard goes to Latonia to ride for W. F. Axtons stable, and E. B. Carpenter is taking D. Dickson, an apprentice, to the same track.
