J LUNA MICA began fast, raced close to LIGHT RIPPLE, then took the lead in the stretch and outlasted ! GALA TIME. The latter responded to punishment and was gaining near the end. LIGHT RIPPLE saved ground, but tired after half a mile after showing early speed. EVERFAIR took a wide course. CANTER LIGHT had no excuses. BANNACH LATH lacked early speed and was outrun. FAIR CREST was away very slowly. MOPPET began well, but stumbled rnd fell right after the start. ESCAPADE, restrained while alternating in setting the pace with SHYLOCK, shook off the latter going to the thirteenth fence and, holding on tenaciously, outlasted LOUIS DOR. The latter, saved for a mile, circled the ethers and, moving to the winner at the last fence, was outfinished on the flat. SHYLOCK, a factor for a mile and a half, was used up racing with the winner. RIDEAWAY challenged after a mile, but tired as if short. DOCK LIGHT did not menace the leaders. LORD JOHNSON and DAVID were outrun. Corrected weight Lord Johnson, 138. TftQlS THIRD RACE 3-4 Mile. TRIPLE THREAT opened up a good lead near the final eighth post, but was not good enough for the winner. GENERAL LEJEUNE met interference on the first t turn, moved up on the outside, but was forced wide in the stretch. PRINCE FOX came through on the inside and had no mishaps. BURNSIDE could not reach the leaders. GRAND ACRE and TARQUIN quit. The latter entered contention with a rush when coming through on the inside leaving the back stretch and was wearing down the winner. MERRY FOX, weakly ridden and taken up on the first turn, closed gamely. PRINCE TOKALON tired after seven-eighths. SUNVIR was outrun. DUCHESS OF MARLBOROUGH tired. Overweight Night Patrol, 1 pound.
