ANOKA entered contention with a rush, but tired. ROYAL BEACON showed good speed, only to tire in the stretch. SABANA could not cet up. KEBBIE showed early speed. VARSITY tired badly. AYMOND withstood challenges from SPEY CREST, but was not good enough for the winner. REFINER, slow to start, finished with a belated rush. UVIRA tired after five-eighths.
