MODIFY CAVENS SUSPENSION COLLINSVILLE, 111., Oct. 10. Steward John T. Ireland issued the following ruling late Saturday: "The indefinite suspension given jockey Joe Cavens at Bainbridge has been modified to allow him to ride for A. J. Pershall, his contract employer."
