FLUFFY LEE, hard urged to take the early lead, saved ground and came again when punished. BRAVISSIMA raced close up, but could not threaten the first two. MISS ALDEN finished fast when gaining room near the end. MUDRAKER had no excuses. RENOUNCE was never dangerous. HUFFY, close up early and fencing well, challenged resolutely after a mile and a half and took the lead at the last jump to outfinish LORD JOHNSON. The latter raced SHYLOCK into defeat at the eleventh fence, but was not good enough for the winner. LUCKITE saved much ground, challenged in the closing hall mile, but could not get up. BANDIT tired after a mile and a half. SHYLOCK quit on the back stretch for the second turn of the field. SPECKLED BEAUTY II. had no mishaps. RUBIGNY refused at the twelfth and LIGHT PLUME lost his rider at the same obstacle. ROYAL DOULTON and MISS HENRIETTA fell at the tenth and EGAD at the eighth jump. BLIMP was on the outside all the way. BRAVE AND BOLD tired after half a mile. JUDGE PRIMROSE was outrun. FLAG TRICK was never a factor. WAR LAD refused to start. OLD A1ASTER I worked his way up from a slow start and just lasted to outfinish MARMION. The latter, hard ridden, showed flashes of speed. CAMP PRINCE" was used up forcing the early pace.
