Th latter began fast, saved ground in the closing three-eighths, but tired near the end. PALATINE raced well. NEXT CALL began slowly, jaccd wide and finished well. CHESTNUT TREE quit. IL TROVATORE met interference and quit in the last quarter. SCORE was taken back sharply when in close quarters on the far turn and did not recover. The latter showed speed, but was forced to lose ground, withstood pressure and was wearing down the winner. PHARAHEAD saved ground and outlasted MARSE CHAN. The latter tired. COAST PATROL was on the inside most of the way. COUSIN NORA, sore, began slowly. AROUSE was outrun.
