McAtee is recovering steadily from his recent minor operation and expects to be out again next week. Walter House stated that Merry Chatter is recovering from an infected foot and will be raced at Empire City. A. L. Aste wired from Maryland that he was shipping to Empire City this week. Lloyd Gentry notified Tom Thorpe that he was forced to cancel his stable reservations at Empire City.
