F The Lincoln Fields meeting of thirty-one days, beginning September 3 and ending October 8, was remarkably successful despite the unpleasant weather encountered near the end. In all, a total of 248 races were run and the total distribution among the participating horsemen amounted to 04,000. 5 J. Howard, W. C. and E. W. Beichert, Laf-1 foon and Yeiser, C. V. Whitney, W. F. Axton and B. Creech were the most successful of the owners, while My Dandy and "Little America carried off the honors among the horses. T. P. Martin was the outstanding star of the jockeys with twenty-eight winners out of 129 mounts, for a percentage of .22. M. Cal- vert rode twenty-three winners, G. Elston, twenty-one and C. Corbett, twenty. J. Howard carried off the training honors with fifteen winners, H. Goose had nine, M. Goldblatt and W. C. Reichert, seven each.
